Discovering Java Island: THE BEST WEEK OF MY LIFE by ATIKHAH YUSRI

First of all, i would like give thanks to everyone who manage and make this trip HAPPEN :) . All the work hard and sacrifices paid off ! Gain mark while vacation was really worth it.

Basically, it was 6 days and 5 nights trip. The journey started from JKT - BDO - JOG - JKT which is a circle trip. cehhh... We departed from Kota Kinabalu at 5.30 pm and arrived in Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport around 7.30 pm Malaysian time.

When we arrived at Jakarta, we was welcomed by our travel agent at the airport and brought us to a dinner at Lembur Kuring. On our way to the Lembur Kuring, we manage to experience a night view of Jakarta city. From what i've seen was Jakarta city was kind of similar with Kuala Lumpur city. The buildings, the houses and also the traffic congestion.

On the second day, we went to visit Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Bandung. Before we went to the university, i was very nervous because i have to present about UiTM, tourism faculty and also Tourism in Sabah. While waiting for my presentation i have a very nice chat with Mr. Reza about their university. We also have the opportunity to get acquainted with students there and they are very friendly and kind. It was my first time to do a presentation alone and become a representative for my faculty. It was very an amazing experience i ever have which is to manage an academic talk between my university with international university. Thank you very much to Miss Silverina for give me the opportunity to represent our university. This opportunity really increase my confident level and very helpful for my future.

Valuable experience in Sekolah Tinggi Parwisata Bandung

After visiting the university, we went to visit one of the attraction that is a must for a tourist to go which is Tangkuban Perahu. Indonesia is popular with their volcanoes and Indonesia are part of Pacific Ring of Fire. Pak Jum (our tour guide) suggest us to wear a mask while in Tangkuban Perahu because of the strong smell of sulphur coming out from the volcano. The weather is very nice since it is in a hilly area and there are a lot of horse to be ride while visit the volcano.

On the third day we went shopping at Kartika Sari which sell variety kind of pastries. One of the significant pastries that suggested by Miss Silver is Pisang Bollen. It was very nice pastries which suit to eat for tea time.

We depart to Jogjakarta from Bandung in the afternoon after shooping at Pasar Baru by bus. It takes us about 14 hours of journey to reach Jogjakarta which is very tiring but we take it as a good experience. We arrived at Jogjakarta at dawn. So, on the first day in Jogjakarta, we visit a lot of historical and cultural places such as Museum Sonobudoyo, Sultan Palace, Plaosan Temple, and the one i want to visit the most is the Candi Borobudur because it is one of the seven wonders of the world.

The next day in Jogjakarta, we had the free time for the whole day to shopping at Malioboro. At Malioboro Street had a lot of things that you can buy such as souvenirs, apparels, and the most popular is the batik Indonesia. The prices is very affordable. After shopping, we were very excited to ride a beca to back to the hotel and it was very fun experience.

We depart from Jogjakarta to Jakarta at night which is around 8.00 pm and arrived at Jakarta at dawn. We drop by at Masjid Istiqlal to pray or even wash up before go to several interesting places around Jakarta.
